Facebook Faux Pas You Should Try To Avoid

Facebook has become the number one hub for friends and new acquaintances to meet and greet one another while playing games, liking pages and poking one another. With the introduction of Facebook there came certain habits and patterns that have been deemed a bit of a no no. Here we look at some of the worst offenders. Chances are, you’ve there at least once.

Naming Names

Name calling has always been very childish, but even now people get targeted and bullies are just as obnoxious as they were decades ago, if not worse. If someone in particular gets your goat the sensible thing to do is to hold back and keep your anger to yourself, not blab on about how Dave is a right nasty piece of work. If they really get to you that much, then don’t give them the satisfaction of knowing they’ve done so, and done it effectively.

Emo Updates

We all have those days where all we want to do is crawl under a rock and wait for the world to end, but that is something that should never be shared with others. Not only might it disturb other people’s moods but, no offence, no one cares. It’s not that they don’t care about you per say, they just don’t want to see you suffering, and thus will remove you from their feed or remove you all together. Sadness always has and always will be seen as a huge downer for all.

Forgetting Fibs

If, like me, you’ve had to tell a small lie or two to get the ball rolling or to avoid certain instances then you may end up unwittingly forgetting the whole thing and mention something you perhaps shouldn’t. For instance, if you’re planning a surprise party for someone, and you mention that you’re looking for a party planner, the chances are they might just question you about it. This isn’t always game over, but it’s still a major pain so be vigilant.

Mr Spamsalot

We want to see exactly what people are doing, but we don’t need to know every detail of their day, day in day out. We like that you’re finding some amusing memes on the web, but we don’t have to be shown all of them. Some spamming isn’t too harsh such as quote sharing but in most cases it’s just yet another picture of a cat doing something that cats shouldn’t do.
